Muskego Woman Hopes to 'Chase' Grant for Charity That's Close to Home

Unite 4 Peyton was founded by Muskego resident Tina Reddick, whose niece is a miracle at the age of four.

Tina Reddick founded Unite 4 Peyton when she still lived in Greenfield, but is hoping her new home in Muskego will help her out in garnering a $250,000 grant for the cause.

Reddick's niece Peyton suffers with Spinal Muscular Atrophy, which renders her unable to use her muscles. As the leading genetic killer in children under the age of two, SMA is incurable, untreatable and fatal, making Peyton's fourth birthday a milestone.

Reddick explained that much of the dollars Unite 4 Peyton raises goes to purchase iPads as it provides a way for kids to communicate, as well as generators.

"The equipment these kids often require involve machines, and a power outage can be critical," Reddick said.

She was thrilled to be nominated for Chase Bank's Community Giving, which will grant $250,000 to nonprofits based on voting, which begins on Sept. 6, on their Facebook page.
