Muskego Youth Improves Old Town Hall For Eagle Scout Project

Aleks said it was a project he was proud to do for the city he lives in.

It was a nice start to an otherwise contentious Common Council meeting on Tuesday, and the only action taken during the evening that garnered a unanimous standing ovation from the crowd gathered. Alek Vilumsons was honored for his achievements in receiving the Boy Scouts of America highest honor of Eagle Scout.

Vilumsons is a member of Boy Scout Troop 599 affiliated with Hales Corners Lutheran Church. Prior to receiving the rank of Eagle Scout he earned 27 merit badges and served in several leadership positions.

For his Eagle Scout service project, Vilumsons made improvements to
the ground level meeting and exhibit rooms of the Old Town Hall by building
frames and hanging historical photographs. He told the crowd assembled that he enjoyed doing the project because it helped his own city.
