Last Chance: Final Jammin' on Janesville This Week

The Week Ahead: Jammin' on Janesville, the Wisconsin State Fair and the return of summer weather.

If you haven't been among the masses at any of the Jammin' on Janesville events this year, you have one last opportunity Friday.

The Muskego business showcase, set for 5 to 10 p.m. on Janesville Road, features more than 45 activities, live animals, a car show, bounce houses, 12 bands, six beer stops, 27 $1 food items and more than 100 businesses.

Friday's event also features "Teen Idol" audition put on by the Muskego Performing Arts Council at the U.S. Bank building.

Muskego Patch is a corporate sponsor of Jammin' on Janesville. See more information on the Muskego Chamber of Commerce's Patch blog.

Also ahead this week in the Muskego area:

State Fair Starts Thursday:
Cream puffs, racing pigs and food-on-a-stick make their annual appearance in West Allis as the Wisconsin State Fair gets under way on Thursday and runs through Aug. 11. And if you pay full price for admission, you're just as dumb as a chicken because there are discounts just about every day. You'll find everything you need to know on the fair's website

Summer Returns:
And just in time for the fair, the area weather is going to seem a lot more summer-like starting Thursday, according to the forecast from Patch's media partners at WISN 12 News. On Monday and Tuesday, the temps will be in the mid-70s before getting to the high 70s or low 80s on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. There is a chance of showers every day except Monday and Thursday.
