Are you celebrating Wisconsin's special 12-12-12? Share what you like best about the Green Bay Packers quarterback here – or tell us why you can't stand him!
I personally think 12-12-12 should be a national holiday, but with our president being a Bears fan and all … it’s not going to happen. It’s Aaron Rodgers day. A day for Green Bay Packers fans to celebrate the success of the team under the leadership of No. 12. Let’s just face it, it’s a day for us to wear our green and gold jerseys, to paint our fingernails green (am I right, ladies?) and to just get darn excited that we are Packers fans from Wisconsin. Aaron Rodgers day started as a Facebook joke that became viral. The state legislature officially declared Dec. 12, 2012, to be his day. Milwaukee County workers are being allowed to wear Packers jerseys or shirts to work on Wednesday. Milwaukee County Executive Chris Abele is encouraging …

The restaurant owned by the Brewers' Ryan Braun and Packers Aaron Rodgers plans to sell a maximum of 200 tickets to the dinner and silent auction and donate all proceeds to the salon families, Megan Boucher, media coordinator for SURG Restaurants, told Patch. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers was last year's NFL MVP as the Packers went 15-1, then flamed out in the playoffs. Can they replicate last year's regular-season success?
You can tell Green Bay Packers fans are anxious for the 2012 season by the way they engaged in collective sphincter clenching over the preseason play of backup quarterback Graham Harrell. But then Harrell closed the preseason on Thursday looking more like Aaron Rodgers than Erin Moran for once in a 24-3 win over the Kansas City Chiefs. For a fan base eager to erase the memory of the Fail Mary in last year’s playoffs, it was the sort of performance — in a meaningless game, to be sure — that should turn the optimism up to 11. The Packers were 15-1 in the regular season, winning 14 games to open the season and establishing themselves as easily the best team in football. Rodgers played brilliantly at quarterback all season to earn NFL Most …

In a surprise announcement on Facebook, 8-twelve said it was opening for dinner July 5 and taking no reservations its first weekend.
Batter up: the grill is open. 8-twelve MVP Bar & Grill, the partnership between Brewers left-fielder Ryan Braun and Packers QB Aaron Rodgers, announced its opening Thursday, just minutes before it said the doors would open at 4 p.m. The restaurant with the name taken from the MVP's jersey numbers (Braun’s eight and Rodgers’ 12), is located at 17800 W. Bluemound Rd., in the former Charro pan-Latin restaurant, in the Town of Brookfield. "We wanted to let our online friends be the first to know, we will open for dinner tonight at 5pm," the restaurant unveiled on its Facebook page. "We will be taking walk-ins only throughout the weekend. Check http://www.8-twelve.com/ for our menu & more information" Omar Surg, co-owner and president of SURG …

Open job interviews will be held Thursday through Saturday at the former Charro restaurant — soon to be 8-twelve, the joint venture of MVPs Ryan Braun and Aaron Rodgers.
A possible perk of the job? Meeting Ryan Braun and Aaron Rodgers. 8-twelve, the restaurant venture of the two MVPs, is holding open job interviews this week to hire bartenders, servers, hosts, bussers, line cooks, dishwashers and prep cooks. Interviews (bring resumes) will be from 1 to 3 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the restaurant site, 17800 W. Bluemound Rd., Town of Brookfield, formerly Charro. The restaurant, slated to open in June, is the second Braun-SURG Restaurant Group partnership and the first for Rodgers. Braun partnered with SURG on Graffito on Water Street in Milwaukee. 8-twelve will feature American fare, including burgers, steak and other grilled food.
