A New York Times story headlined "Big Price Tags Attached to Even the Littlest Leagues," looks at the big business of equipping youngsters for participation in youth baseball and softball leagues, quoting those costs and more. We have an 8 year old who plays baseball. We have bought his shoes, glove, bat and batting helmet from Play It Again Sports for the last 4 years. At this age, as the coach said in the article, it doesn't make a difference. He is learning the game and the skills, a $100 bat is not going to make that difference.   more ›
