From Church and Chapel Funeral Homes: Bernell Irene Jacob of Muskego (known as Bea to friends and family) found peace on Feb. 20, at the age of 88 years. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Robert. Loving mom of Carol Ann (Frank) Blank and Gregory (Ginny) Does. Dear grandma of William (Kirstie) Blank and Kim (Bill) Burge. Dear great-grandma of Logan, Wilson and Shelby Burge and Jillian Blank. Further survived by other relatives and friends. Visitation was be held on Saturday, Feb. 23, at Wisconsin Memorial Park Chapel of the Flowers, 13235 W. Capitol Dr., Brookfield. As funeral arrangements are set for Kayla Corona, memorials placed at the accident scene recall a friend, teammate and daughter, with her favorite color purple asked to be worn in her memory.
The frozen landscape has taken its toll on the bouquets of flowers laid at the site of a fatal crash that took the life of Kayla Corona, a 2012 Muskego High School graduate. However, the warmth of the sentiments is very real and moving. "You were one of the happiest people I have ever met ... playing rugby with you and meeting you were some of the happiest experiences of my life," wrote a former teammate on a rugby football. Corona died after being transported to Froedtert Hospital in the early morning hours Saturday, the result of her vehicle leaving Henneberry Drive and crashing into a utility pole.
