A new Department of Natural Resources program has opened 29,000 acres of privately-owned land for hunting and other uses by the general public.
From the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources: This year, hunters have the opportunity to enjoy access to nearly 29,000 new acres of private land open to the public within close proximity of the state’s metropolitan areas. Hoffa seems to recall that during the recall effort, the liberal/leftist/Democrats were claiming that Walker was going to privatize all state hunting lands and force hunters to pay thousands of dollars to deer hunt in the future.
