No community is immune to the problem, so Muskego police offer early warning signs to prevent ever becoming a victim of domestic abuse.

Usually when a police officer asks you to do something, doing as they say is not optional. I learned this is also a good idea when you've been pulled over for speeding, as police say going for your license can look like you're reaching for a weapon. Keep your hands on the steering wheel until they arrive at your window.   more ›

Angry Wife Throws Can of Shaving Cream at Husband, Police Report

Although woman claimed she had been reacting to abuse by husband, police cite woman with disorderly conduct for injuring him in incident.

A Muskego woman was cited for disorderly conduct after she apparently threw a can of shaving cream at her husband during a fight — and hit him in the forehead, police say. Muskego police were called to the scene of a domestic disturbance on Oct. 30, and after interviewing both husband and wife, decided to issue her the citation. The couple had been arguing, and the husband pointed out to police that he was injured by the woman in the process, according to the police report. An officer noted a "circular bruise on his forehead consistent with the base of a shaving cream can" that had been thrown at the man by his wife during the  argument, the report said. Police had some difficulty in speaking with the woman because of language barriers, …

@KKP this isn't about my daughter, whom I may add I've raised to know better than to go around hitting people. I don't doubt though that it must be very traumatic to get dragged around by the hair by somebody who you were punching in the face a moment before. When you start hitting someone like the woman in this case did, you have to live with the fact that someone is going to get injured, …   more ›

Muskego Man Facing Abuse Charges in All-Too Familiar Scenario

On the same day a man gunned down his wife after a long history of domestic abuse, Muskego Police are recommending charges against a Muskego man for domestic abuse and false imprisonment of girlfriend.

Muskego Police responded to a 911 hang up call on Sunday and ended up intervening in a domestic dispute between a 49-year-old Muskego man and his 51-year-old girlfriend from West Allis. Given the revelations of the incidents in Brookfield, where Radcliffe Haughton killed his wife Zina after repeated incidents of domestic abuse, the details of the Muskego incident are eerily similar. According to police reports, officers arrived at the home on Sunday around 8 a.m. but no one came to the door when they first rang the bell. Officers say they heard a woman inside the home scream so they broke into the residence where they found the man and woman and separated them. The report stated that the couple were out the night before and returned to the…
