Drug Collection Drive Announced for End of September

Muskego Police will join with the Drug Enforcement Administration at the Walgreen's on the corner of Janesville Road and Racine Avenue to collect old and unused medications.

Considering the success of the drug collection drive held in April, it's likely that the second one of the year will prove to be just as popular. The Muskego Police Department will be on hand to assist on Saturday, Sept. 29, as the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) will sponsor the National Take Back Initiative. Walgreen’s, on the corner of Janesville Road and Racine Avenue, will be coordinating and hosting Muskego’s participation in this event. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., bring your expired, unused and unwanted prescription, controlled, non-controlled, and over the counter medications to Walgreen’s. It will be collected under the supervision of police officers, and turned over to the DEA. Liquid medications will be accepted as long as …

"It's the most often prescribed painkiller," said pharmacist and volunteer Justin Konkol. "The brand name is Percoset, and it's everywhere." After people finish needing the painkiller (or any prescription medications for …
