Man Drives High on Drugs With 2-Year-Old in the Back Seat, Say Police

Police arrest Waukesha man for his third operating while under the influence charge after he's pulled over near his parent's home in Muskego

A 33-year-old Waukesha man is accused of driving under the influence of drugs with his 2-year-old daughter in the back seat of his car. Michael J. Ward was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court Monday with one count of third offense operating while intoxicated. If convicted, he faces up to two years in prison. According to the criminal complaint: At 5:30 p.m. Saturday, a person called 911 after he spotted a Cadillac Seville driving erratically westbound on Janesville Road and he thought the driver may be drunk. The caller followed the Cadillac as it turned onto Kristen Drive, then Canfield Drive and finally onto Castle Glen Court. Muskego Woman Charged After Drugged Driving on I-94

Suspect, 26, told police she though she was on northbound I-43 and on her way to visit a friend in Milwaukee.

A 36-year-old Muskego woman is facing charges after she was driving very slowly down I-94 after taking pills. Sarah K. Frey was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court Wednesday with one count of possession of a controlled substance, one count of possession of drug paraphernalia and one count of second offense operating while intoxicated. If convicted, she faces up to eight months in prison and $2,100 in fines. According to the criminal complaint: At 12:04 a.m. Jan. 19, police were called when drivers near 124th Street reported a car driving erratically in the westbound lane. Muskego Man Charged With 7th OWI

Suspect, 33, hit a wall while trying to enter the expressway in Milwaukee, then passed out after being pulled over by a sheriff's deputy.

A Muskego man who was arrested last week by Milwaukee County Sheriffs has now been charged in Milwaukee County court. The 33-year-old man is facing his seventh operating while intoxicated charge after he hit a wall while trying to get onto I-43 in Milwaukee, then passed out after being pulled over by a Milwaukee County sheriff’s deputy. Timothy J. Bronstad was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court Saturday with one count of seventh offense OWI. If convicted, he faces up to 10 years in prison and $25,000 in fines. Muskego Police, State Team Up to Combat Drunk/Drugged Drivers

Along with the spirit of the season, spirits and substances make December memorable for law enforcement.

Along with the Wisconsin State Patrol, Muskego Police wanted to remind motorists that December marks the eighth anniversary of the enactment of a Wisconsin law prohibiting drivers from having any controlled substances in their system, such as marijuana or cocaine. The law also makes the legal penalties for drugged driving the same as drunken driving. For this reason, December has been named National Drunk & Drugged Driving Prevention month. Law enforcement agencies are continuing their efforts to combat drugged driving, training officers in procedures that identify drivers impaired by alcohol.
