Obituary: Edwin J. Seybold
Muskego man was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran who had once tried out for the Chicago Cardinals football team and played semi-pro before teaching at Whitnall High School.
Edwin John Seybold of Muskego died Sunday, Dec. 2. at Wauskesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 75. John was born on November 4, 1937, son of the late Edwin and Agnes (Egan) Seybold of Forest Junction, WI. He was a graduate of Brillion High School, class of 1955. John was a prominent football player in high school and with the United States Marine Corps, which led to a professional football tryout with the Chicago Cardinals. He attended Compton College in California, class of 1958, and played semi-pro football for the Sheboygan Redwings (1959-1960), Manitowoc Chiefs (1961-1966 & 1968-1969), Racine Raiders and the West Allis Spartans (1970-1974).
