Whether you're excited to vote or are counting the hours until the ads for Barrett and Walker stop, here's the information you need to know if you aren't one of the thousands who have voted early.
To be blunt, Tuesday is put up or shut up time for voters across the state, as the recall war finally comes to a matter of ballots at the polls throughout the state. This isn't the longest ballot to consider, but in case it's your first time voting, or you've turned off the radio and TV since, oh, January, here's what you need to know. The lieutenant governor, who faces a recall election in about two weeks, stood shoulder to shoulder with Amy Kremer, Chairman of the Tea Party Express, at a press conference Monday, May 21.
The national Tea Party Express has been a prominent player on the Wisconsin recall scene for nearly a year, and on Monday, it promised to remain one until Election Day. In a joint press conference in Milwaukee, Amy Kremer, chairman of the Tea Party Express, publicly endorsed Lt. Gov. Walker's 5,113 votes in Muskego's election represented 97.4 percent of the Republican primary votes, and 67.9 percent in comparison to 20 percent by the closest competitor on the Democrat side, Tom Barrett, who won the statewide race. Kathleen Falk, who had been campaigning for months before Barrett decided to throw his hat back in the ring, came in a distant third, garnering only 8.9 percent. Turnout turns heads More impressive …

Mahlon Mitchell, a 15-year veteran of the Madison Fire Department and current president of the Professional Fire Fighters of Wisconsin, will run as a Democrat in recall election.
Mahlon Mitchell, president of the Professional Fire Fighters of Wisconsin, announced Monday that he is running for lieutenant governor in the recall election against incumbent Rebecca Kleefisch. A 15-year veteran of the Madison Fire Department, Mitchell lives in Fitchburg. "I’m running because Scott Walker and Rebecca Kleefisch have destroyed and divided Wisconsin by catering to corporate special interests instead of the workingmen and women of this state," Mitchell said on his website. "Now, we need to bring our state back together and work to create the jobs tens of thousands of Wisconsinites need." Last year, when Gov. Scott Walker proposed a law that stripped most public employees of their ability to collectively bargain, Mahlon led …
