Safety City Needs Teen Volunteers

Muskego Police and community groups team up to present the yearly program, but can't do it without high schoolers' help.

For the 33rd year, the Muskego Women’s Club, Muskego Police Department, Muskego Parks and Recreation Department, and Muskego/Norway School District are partnering up to bring Safety City to kids from 4 to 7 years old.  The program recreates a child-size city where children use big wheels to learn about road and pedestrian safety.  In addition, fire protection, poison prevention, animal safety, and stranger awareness are covered.  While a collaboration of many city organizations, organizers say they are looking for volunteers, ages 11-18, to help out for the two-week program.
