Thursday's 'Glee' Has Oak Creek Tie

Fox's hit TV show will feature Nick Young, who spent years training at his mother's dance academy in Oak Creek and previously appeared on 'So You Think You Can Dance.'

Nick Young, who spent years dancing at his mother's Young Dance Academy in Oak Creek, is taking his talents to Glee Thursday night. Fox's hit show airs locally at 8 p.m. on channel 6 (WITI-TV). Young has been dropping hints about his appearance on his Twitter feed . By the hashtags Young used, he might be stepping out with the Warblers, the New Directions rivals from all-boys school Dalton Academy. The New Directions will be preparing for Sectionals as they face against the Warblers. Gleeks will be happy see a number of returning faces. Wisconsin Dancer in Top 20 on 'So You Think You Can Dance'

Nick Young will compete for America's votes.

Nick Young is living his dream after advancing to the top 20 on "So You Think You Can Dance" on FOX (Channel 6).  According to a Q&A on the show website, Young started dancing when he was just 4 years old in his mom's dance studio, the Young Dance Academy in Oak Creek.  He auditioned for the show as a tap dancer, but was able to showcase skills in other styles throughout the try out period. Young, a Franklin resident, will dance for America's votes starting Wed., June 15 at 7 pm on Channel 6. If he garners enough votes, he will continue onto the next week, and each week he will learn new dance routines in a different style from a variety of choreographers, and possibly with a different partner. Nick is awesome! My girls have danced at his mother's dance studio, Young Dance Academy, in Oak Creek for the last 3 years. We have watched him every year in the recitals and he is an amazing, talented young man. However, seeing him at the studio outside of class, interacting with the other dance students and parents shows that he is also a person of good character. We wish him the best of luck …   more ›
