Woman Uses Stroller to Shield Stolen Items, Police Say
A New Berlin woman is caught with nearly $900 in clothes hidden under a stroller, according to police report.
A 33-year-old New Berlin woman is accused of using her toddler's stroller to try and hide nearly $900 in stolen goods from Kohl's in Muskego. Jamie L. Wagner was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court Wednesday with one count of felony retail theft and one count of removal of anti-theft devices. If convicted, she faces up to two years and three months in prison, and $20,000 in fines. According to the criminal complaint: At 5:50 p.m. Aug. 26, Wagner walked into Kohl's with her toddler in a stroller, then took 22 children's items and four women's track jackets and went into a dressing room. She emerged later with the items hidden in a canvas bag under the stroller and hidden by a diaper bag and tried to leave the store without paying. …
