Gas Thief Drives Off a 4th Time

Man who has stolen gas from Jetz previously struck again, using altered license plates to get away

Muskego Police were again called to the Jetz gas station on Dec. 16 around noon in response to a gas drive-off. An employee told police a white man in his 20s, with dark hair and wearing a gray sweatshirt with the hood up and dark pants had put $53.66 worth of gas in his vehicle and left without paying. The vehicle was described as a light blue Ford Windstar according to reports, but the license plate was altered, making the vehicle untraceable. Police and employees at Jetz believe this is the same man seen driving away from the pumps in November, as well as twice in one week in September. Gas Drive Offs Prompt Warnings to Be Vigilant at the Pump

Jetz had two drive offs this week, with one suspect getting away with it; police say vigilance by residents can help them catch the other guy.

Two incidents of gas drive offs have police asking for vigilance at the pump to help keep criminals from stealing, and to help keep the cost of gas down. On Nov. 10 Jetz Convenience Center reported the theft of gas by a man driving a blue minivan around 10:30 a.m., according to police reports. The van displayed a Wisconsin license plate of 886PLP, however, the plate appeared to have been altered to change the number. Police say this same altered plate was on a red minivan when the white male driving that van also stole gas from Jetz on Sept. 13.
