Alert Resident Helps Police Arrest Burglary Suspects

A resident called police after seeing two people peering into the front window of a home on Woods Road.

An alert Muskego resident prevented a possible break-in on Woods Road and helped police arrest two people who later admitted to several burglaries.

According to the Muskego Police Department newsletter, the resident called police about 11:10 a.m. Aug. 28 reporting a suspicious vehicle in a driveway in the W13500 block of Woods Road.

The resident spoke to a male and female who were peering in the front window, according to police. The male told the resident they were there to clean carpets. However, the resident called the homeowner, who said no carpet-cleaning was planned.

The resident then called police and provided them with a picture of the vehicle, including the license plate number.

Town of Brookfield police stopped the vehicle and arrested the male and female, who admitted to several burglaries, according to police.
