Woman Charged With 4th OWI After Driving Wrong Way on Moorland Road

A Muskego Police officer pulled the woman over after he had to pull to the shoulder to avoid being hit by her; another vehicle in front of him barely escaped being hit.

A 43-year-old Waterford woman has been charged with her fourth OWI after driving down Moorland Road the wrong way on Dec. 22, according to reports.

A Muskego Police officer was driving northbound around 9:30 p.m. when he saw Ann Cacace's vehicle in the wrong lane, near Kohl's Department Store. Reports state she barely avoided hitting the vehicle directly in front of the squad, and the officer had to pull to the shoulder as well.

When questioned, the officer stated there was a strong odor of intoxicants, and Cacace admitted to drinking "two glasses of vodka" before leaving her home. She said she realized she was in the wrong lane and had intended on pulling over at the next stop sign.

Police searched her vehicle, and found a bottle of Karkov vodka, a little more than half-full, in her glove compartment, according to reports.

Preliminary tests indicated her blood alcohol level at 0.31, or nearly four times the legal limit. Cacace faces charges for felony OWI in Waukesha County Circuit Court in January, as her previous convictions in 2009 and 2008 were less than five years ago.
