U-15 U.S. National Team Calls MHS Freshman to Camp

Luka Prpa spent a week in Los Angeles for a training camp with the age-group national soccer team.

A Muskego High School freshman just completed a training camp with the U.S. U-15 boys soccer national team.

Luka Prpa of Wind Lake was among 36 players called into the camp in Los Angeles, WisconsinSoccerCentral.com reported. The players trained at the Home Depot Center in Carson, CA and were split into teams of 18 for games against club teams.

It was Prpa’s sixth camp with either the U-14 or U-15 team, the website reported.

The U-15 team is a developmental and identification squad for future age-group national teams, according to USSoccer.com. The first age group World Cup is at U-17, the next step up from U-15.

As a freshman, Prpa helped the Muskego High School varsity reach the WIAA sectional final, where the Warriors lost out to Kettle Moraine in a shootout.

Prpa plays club soccer primarily for North Shore United out of Cedarburg. The North Shore U-14 team Prpa was on won the Wisconsin Youth Soccer state championship last year and participated in the Region II championships.
