Coming Soon: Pavilion, Lights at Park Arthur

The new Park Arthur pavilion will include heated bathrooms to make it available year-round.

Construction is getting under way on a pavilion at Park Arthur, with lighting for the baseball fields and sledding hill also in the works for this year.

The pavilion will include heat in the bathrooms to help make Park Arthur truly a year-round park, Mayor Kathy Chiaverotti said, noting the sledding hill and a future ice skating rink.

Muskego is spending $555,536 on the pavilion, she said. The price tag had caused some concern for Muskego Common Council members but was approved in May on a 5-2 vote.

In addition to the pavilion, the city previously approved lighting for the baseball fields and sledding hill. Installation of the new lights will begin this month, Chiaverotti said.

Work on the pavilion and lights is expected to largely be completed by Oct. 31.
